Just traded Semin for Schwartz, Stefan Elliott, nyquist and a top 15 pick in next years prospect draft. Kinda hurts for next year, but what kinda projections you have for those 3 over the next couple years? Basically how long do you think I gotta wait until one or a combo of those players, equals semins fantasy value? Right now all those players can sit on my prospect roster until they are 25 (unless I take them off to play them) without wasting bench space. Someone like grabovski is gonna come off my bench to fill semins spot unless i make a trade.

    Thanks in advance!

Which young d-men (preferably) or more proven players would be fair payment for Shea Weber in a salary cap dynasty league?

For what it's worth, I wouldn't be adverse to waiting a few years for a player to develop.

    Thank you.
hard to say without knowing the ins and outs of your league in terms of trade value.... but does your league count CAP or SALARY?

Weber's CAP is only a few 100k more than last season.

Dillon - sounds like he may get a crack at a top four role. Big, great skater, offense is a bit of an unknown since his development has been so rapid. Should be a 5-8 goal guy and 25-35 pt guy in a few years

Moulson and Johansen, provided you can get a D elsewhere. If you can't, i'd go with Kronwall and Moulson

to give up Malkin or Getzlaf. I did loose a 4th round pick in the *
Nash/Price deal. My problem is, who do I keep for this season. *
    Categories are: G, A, + -, PIM, SOG, PPP, SHP, Hits, W, GAA, SV%.

My team: C - Malkin, Getzlaf, Ott (lw) *LW - Ovechkin, Nash (rw), **
Clowe **RW - Jagr, Wheeler, Cole **D - Green, Wideman, Garrison, *
Robidais, Giordano **G - Bryzgalov, Price, Halak

My first thoughts are to go with Malkin, Getzlaf, Ovechkin and Nash. *
Pick up a goalie in the 1st or 2nd round, depending on how the draft *
shakes out. But the 2 teams that finished 1st and 2nd had the best *
goaltending in the league. I finished 3rd. If I were to keep a goalie *
I think it would have to either both Bryz and Price or just one of *
them and not Halak. The timeshare with Elliot bothers me, but they do *
play for Hitch and his goalies always have good GAA and SV%.
    Keep Ovy, Malkin, Price.

We go by annual salary. 132% above the real NHL cap each given season.

So, his salary will be 14,000,000 for 4 years, then 12,000,000 for 2 years after that.

    Interesting analysis Jeff, thanks!

I'm a bit surprised you are so bullish on Kovalchuk. Kessel ahead of Eberle surprises me. AP ahead of those other big dmen is a good call I think! Sorry I forgot to add in Doughty there too, would you put him ahead of AP?

I like your ordering of those centers, that's bang on with what I think too!

I hope you do a full set of projected numbers this year for the top players in the league, I like that your projections are often different than Dobbers!

10 team H2H keeper league with G,A,+/-,PPP,SHP,SOG,HIT,W,GAA,SV%,SO as stats, and need to keep 5 guys. Thinking of going with Stamkos, Tavares, Price, and Karlsson but unsure of who to keep 5th. Here is my team with # of starters in brackets:

    C (3)- Stamkos, Tavares
    LW (2)- Nash, E.Kane,
RW (2)- Eberle, Backes, Callahan, Hemsky, Radulov
    F (1)- Kopitar
    W (1)- Benn
    D (4)- Karlsson, Pietrangelo, Byfuglien,
G (2)- Price, Halak, Elliott, Hiller

Also do not have my first 4 rounds of picks so unlikely to get many of the guys back.

If you could help me figure out which 5 to keep that would be great!

    Thanks for doing this!

    2nd team in SIG.

What would be you 17 keeper?
Any glaring weakness at first sight?

    My locks are :

    Sedin,Thornton,Kopi,Vanek,Benn,Moulson,Iginla.Shar p.Hossa,Weber,Yandle,Price,Kipper,Brodeur.
That makes 14 keeper (Subban is farm eligible).

    Toss up between : Ribeiro,Tanguay,Ehrhoff,Liles,Hemsky,Horton.
