The funniest thing is I just looked to see if Rotoworld would consider these injuries to be even close to relevant. Here's what I found:
8:54pm
9:29pmX-rays on Henderson Alvarez's left shin have come back negative.
He's been diagnosed with a contusion and is listed as day-to-day. It seems likely that Alvarez will be fine for his next outing, but the Blue Jays could play it safe and give Aaron Laffey a start.
Sigh...facepalm* Well, at least it seems like neither injury is very serious i.e. Roy Halladay way back when.Aaron Laffey left Monday's game against the Yankees with a left calf contusion.
He's considered day-to-day. Laffey suffered the injury when he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Derek Jeter to end the bottom of the sixth inning. He allowed two runs on one hit and three walks over 2 2/3 innings before exiting.
