Imo, Sather will cave if they are adamant about Stepan being included. I damn sure wouldn't make that be the holdup to an otherwise good deal.

I find it hard to believe they would part with Stepan AND DelZ, Stepan is hugely valuable esp at his cap hit. I'd imagine they'd be willing to part with DelZ and Kreider rather than DelZ and Stepan, given that in Nash they're bringing in a perfect top 6 power winger to pair with Stepan and Callahan. maybe they manage to get ride of Dubinsky at the same time as a salary dump.

No clue whatsoever on the return but I'll hazard a guess of:

Dubi, Hagelin, Erixon, Miller.

Though I could definetely see Kreider in there.

You're right about Mac. Let me substitute prospect with really young and with upside. As for Kreider, proven or not, he must be special if Columbus wants him so bad, no?

I think few realize how untouchable Stepan is. They see him as the perfect complement to Richards down the middle, and paired with a solid power forward or two, makes for an extremely dangerous 2nd line. Imagine how much more room and opportunity the Gaborik/Richards line (with Hagelin or whomever) will have with a Callahan/Stepan/Nash 2nd line? wow.
