hey we got rid of Cordero LOL. Weird that we got Happ now after he was the piece that many believed to be coming our way in the Halladay deal.

I'm just happy to see AA finally get off his ass and do something to help them out. They are still within striking distance of the wildcard but the longer he waited, the further out they will slip. I am just glad to see they really didnt give up any key pieces or top prospects to get some help.

Happ isn't amazing but he'll eat some innings this year. They're not going anywhere. I'm perfectly fine with this.

What is interesting is apparently AA has said that Happ will start in the bullpen and will only be bumped into the rotation should one of the current members falter. Hopefully this lights a fire in Cecil and Laffey's butts because:

Romero is the golden boy...so he's a lock in the rotation.
Alvarez looks like he's settling down a bit after going through a rough slump
Villaneuva is the only consistent starter they have right now.

To me Cecil is oh so very lucky that he didn't give up more than 3 runs in his last outing against the Yankees. The way he was pitching I think the writing was on the wall that he was gonna get booted out of the rotation..but his last performance bought him another start.

Thanks for posting this, I was at my cottage this weekend.

The Jays get a bunch of pitching depth, which they really needed.

For all you proapext junkies, Musgrove and Perez could be diamonds in the rough.

Saw that too. Were they not watching Jays games when they traded for him? lol I guess they wanted him to get a few opportunities and then deal him. Not happening. He looks so done.
