I'm told a number of teams were in on a possible Shea Weber trade. If Preds don't match, they receive 4- 1st round picks as compensation.

I think Nash has to match the offer...BUT ....
weber is worth far more than 4 late first rounders...
David Poile has to be throwing up somewhere....Suter and now possibly Weber in same off season.

only 3 possible outcomes and letting weber go for philly's 4 firsts isn't one of them.
1. nashville matches the offer and weber is their captain for the next 14 years...
2. nashville matches the offer and then trades weber a year+ from now for a better package.
3. nashville and philly prearrange a deal where nashville doesn't match but they trade back the picks for 'real' assets from philly...
He just got Weber locked up for his whole career.
Yeah for sure. I think the money is ok. It's the term that is / might be the issue.
