St-Louis and Savard easily...I dont think Nash will ever be a 90+ pt player
Straight points keeper. Which two would you want?
Thornton
Nash
St. Louis
Savard

Depends on the rest of your team. Probably Joe and Nash though.
Depends on the rest of your team. Probably Joe and Nash though.
I\'ll assume position doesn\'t matter and these predictions are for the players going forward since its a keeper:
Thornton: 105-110 upside 125
Nash: 70-75 upside 85 (he\'s having a career year and with Brassard and Vorachek coming up the pipe I can see him get 85 but I still don\'t see him as a 90+ guy)
St. Louis: 95-100 upside 105
Savard: 90-95 upside 100 (I think Bos will make a move for Hossa in the offseason)
JT + Nash: 175-185 upside 210
Savard + St.Louis: 185-195 upside 205
If your league doesnt avard a bonus for goals go for St.Louis and Savard. They are the safer bet and I think they are the better dual for years to come.

I agree with almost everything that Crazynuck has here except that I think Savard (30) and St. Louis (32) will begin to decline sooner than Nash (23) and Thornton (28). Depending on the length of your league I might be tempted to go with Nash and Thornton. I don\'t think you can lose either way

Cnuck I think your shortchanging Joe, he\'s averaged 112pts over this year and the last 2, and this year\'s 97 pt pace is after his entire supporting cast fell apart. I rate him as 112 with a very attainable 130 upside.
St Louis is aging (32 to Joe\'s 28) and his team is on a serious downswing. I don\'t see his breaking 100 ever again and I\'d average him around 90 (what he\'s on pace for this year). On a bad year I can see him getting as low as 75 points whereas I doubt Joe will have a worse year than this 97pt one in the foreseeable future.
Look at their PPG since their respective \'breakout\' years, Joe is 1.28 while St. Louis is 1.06.
Also I like Nash
JT is the best player in the deal but Nash is the deal killer. This guy is a scorer but he doesn\'t put up enough points. Its nice to get the younger players in a keeper but you can not always base a decision on age. Its not like Savard and St.Louis are Sakic and Sundin. They have another 5 years left in them. Ride them for 2 years and getthe max out of them and then trade them for some youth. Thats the way I run my keeper. Get players at their peak, ride them and get rid of them before they go on the decline. St.Louis and Savard are not on the decline.
Either way you don\'t lose much on the deal.
