Bored at work and after reading a few others I was inspired to post my own. Just going to keep it simple, no writeups or anything. As with any mock it will be largely wrong, but hey, it's all in fun right?

nice looking list...can't argue much with any of it. To me, especially after the first 20 picks, this draft is wide open. I honestly can't even begin to guess who will be taking after the first 20 picks.

    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

    Forward: B. Point, M. Necas, A. Debrincat, T. Zegras, J. Bratt, L. Raymond
    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty
    Goalie: T. Demko, E. Merzlikins
    Bench: M. Rossi, C. Glass, M. Maccelli, M. Dumba, K. Shattenkirk, F. Andersen
Prospects of Note: L. Stankoven, J. Lekkerimaki, D. Yurov, B. Clarke

Yea, the top 10 seems fairly straight forward (not order, but the top 10 players - though anything can happen come draft day) but after that it's pretty wide open.

I'd go so far as to say that I'd be shocked if all of these guys don't go in the top 20-25 picks:

    Nail Yakupov
    Alex Galchenyuk
    Mikhail Grigorenko
    Ryan Murray
    Filip Forsberg
    Matt Dumba
    Griffin Reinhart
    Teuvo Teravainen
    Jacob Trouba
    Morgan Rielly
    Radek Faksa
    Slater Koekkoek
    Cody Ceci
    Olli Maata
    Sebastien Collberg
    Matt Finn
    Zemgus Girgensons
    Pontus Aberg
    Derrick Pouliot

No Lindholm? From what I've been reading he's pretty much a lock for the top 15 at this point and is even garnering some consideration for the top 10 a la Brodin last year.

Not to hijack or anything, more curious than anything. Has Frk's value dropped that much due to injury concern or just his play gone south? Is he gonna be a hit or miss kind of pick?

I could see someone gambling on him with a late first but I think it's more likely he goes early-to-mid-2nd.

Lindholm for sure. Some Swedes say he may be the best Swede in the draft.

Yea, I've basically done as much reading as I could on him over the past few days. There's a chance he slides ahead of Rielly or Trouba and goes as high as Winnipeg's 9th overall IMO and if Rielly and Reinhart are off the board before TBL's 10th overall, I could see them opting for Lindholm.

IMO, he could go as high as 9th (WPG) and no lower than 15 (OTT).

Yeah, it sure seems like the top 10 or so are near locks this year. Are there any standouts that could surprise and sneak in, like Scheifele last year? That's probably been asked here already, but if it has I'm unaware of it. Some mocks have Ceci getting into the top 10, but that's not a major leap.

    Lindholm, as discussed above.

Ceci, Gaunce, Girgensons, Collberg are all possibilities, unlikely though IMO.

Carolina will select Radek Faksa, if they don't put their hands on Jordan Staal.

To be honest, I left his name off the list partly because I know practically nothing about him. I am always a bit concerned about late-bloomers, especially from Europe, because I figure many people, including scouts, haven't seen that much of them. He definitely could be a top 10 or 15 pick.

Frk's value has dropped a lot, partly because he just hasn't really improved much on the weaknesses people saw in his game early on. He still can't skate very well and is a defensive-liability. He has an elite shot, but not much else. I definitely do not see him going in the first round. He could slip all the way to the 3rd round, imo.

I didn't know much about him either, did a ton of reading on him over past few days though.
