Ofcoruse, I think Yak's numbers have the better projection if he surpasses Eberle early and is in formation with Hall and RNH every night.

That said...perhaps Granlund jumps too the first line. Also not to shabby with equally as stealth, Mikko Koivu and the uber flashy Parrise.

    I'll be he surprises most.
Granlund is 2 years older than Yakupov and a year older than Huberdeau and has been playing against men... so I'd certainly hope he has some kind of an edge. But I doubt he plays top line, though injuries could certainly make that a posibility.

Koivu gets hurt a lot so Granlund will get looks but I really see Parise and Koivu being tied at the hip because of their two-way abilities. They can play vs top competition and be effective at both ends. That means Granlund gets two of Bouchard, Heatley and Setoguchi.

Aren't the projected lines something like:

    Parise-Koivu-Seto
    Heatley-Cullen-Granlund

    ?

    More likely:

    Parise-Koivu-Heatley
    Bouchard-Granlund-Setoguchi

Atleast the talk is that Granlund would be #2 C.

Edit. Apparently Bouchard is slated for 3rd line with Cullen playing winger on the 2nd line.

I've seen a whole slew of different projections lol, one of which from NHL put Brodziak on the second line with Granlund centering and Setoguchi on the LW...which doesn't make much sense to me I'd want Koivu-Cullen-Brodziak to be my top three guys taking faceoffs.

I think it's more likely that you'll see Heatley on that top RW spot though...with Seto playing one of the wings on the second line at least to start. But Bouchard could definitely make some noise there until he suffers his inevitable injury.

Like I said in my prior post, my only projection is Koivu-Parise being together. The rest could change by week 2 of the season.

There's no room for logic here, Eric.

Post a mildly-possible line combo or get out of here! We can't have someone being right all the time.

    Parise - Koivu - Powe
    Heatley - Konopka - Bouchard
    Dowell - Cullen - Brodziak
    Setoguchi - Granlund - Clutterbuck

That Heatley - Konopka - Bouchard line could be deadly.

Game plan: Konopka skate in, attack everyone and knock them out. Bouchard, skate the puck up, trip over your stick and act injured to distract the goalie. Heatley, put the puck in the open net.

Certainly - that's part of the reason why in the thread you posted on in the Forwards section, I edged Galchenyuk ahead of him.
