Toronto Red Devils hiring assistant GM and writer!

Hey boys first off these are both fantasy openings just to clarify lol

Well anyways my name is Jordan Carbone the GM of the Toronto Red Devils, a franchise in the AFHL.
If you have yet to hear of it, it's a 20 team dynasty league you can check out more at www.theAFHL.com I'm sure the site will answer any questions, and no I am not the Commish of the league.


ASSISTANT GM

For the assistant gig I'm looking for someone with a hardcore passion for the game we all love so figure I'd try the Dobber faithful. At least 4 years with fantasy hockey and 1 top 3 finish. Not very difficult to meet those requirements. The AFHL is a money league where each franchise pays $25 at the start of every season, and there is also a pretty wicked trophy presented to the champ.
I covered the $25 fee but since I'm a generous person will be offering a 70/30 split on any winnings. So there is the opportunity to take home some cash.
More importantly though this is a great chance to get involved with the league with the possibility of running your own team in the AFHL eventually.

The responsibilities of assistant will be:

- setting lineups
- callups and sending down players
- exploring trades
- league interaction
- entry draft
- determining starting goalie
- player scouting
- control of farm team
- and more.

Those are all the players in the organization and what we have to work with.
This league is entering its 4th season, and much like the NHL there are teams in very different stages from the "win now" to "rebuild" and a few undecided, still on the fence teams.


The 2012 AFHL Entry Draft will begin on June 23rd (Saturday) which is one day after the start of the NHL Entry Draft. I am looking to get someone in by June 15 (Friday) at the latest, giving us a week before the draft to get anything done.
In the upcoming draft we hold the 6th, 8th and 58th overall selections. (Draft is top 60 players)

A lot of information to take in so won't say much more.


WRITER

This position is a lot easier. If you look on the site you will see there are several articles covering this league, obviously moreso when the season is actually in progress..
For a writer all I'm looking for is someone dedicated to cover the team.
Fairly simple only asking for 1 minimun piece per month, if you want to write more that's great.
The topic as well is entirely up to you, anything from the pro roster, to the farm, player trades, upcoming matches, trade rumours etc. lots to pick from.
So with a season that runs September- April only need to spit out 8 articles.
Off-season again is completely up to you.

Great for someone building a writing portfolio, or who just loves the sport and wants to write about it for fun.

Depending on how often you write could talk about a split of winnings as well. Instead of the 70/30 I said above I have no problem working out a 50/30/20 split between the 3 of us, GM/Assist. GM/Writer.

lol yeah GMGates is in this league, he got lucky this year eliminating my team in the 1st round on route to being the well deserved Champ.
