    Default Zach Fucale

Guys not gunna I am not the greatest at scouting goalies. Now Zach Fucale of the Halifax Mooseheads has impressed me everytime I see the kid play. I have to think he is a top 15 maybe even a top 10 player in next years draft. Can anybody confirm or deny this? And if possible give me a scouting report.

Well I can't help much but , I'll tell you what I know.
Fucale is the youngest of the Mooses' 3 tenders and got
a break this year when the Moose starter got injured and
Fucale was inserted to play.He took full advantage of his
opportunity and earned himself the #1 status for the season
    and in to the play-offs.
I've been to several games and can say he does look good between
the pipes , makes some nice saves and seems to read the play pretty
good for a youngster.Lady luck helps him out quite a bit and the
Moose have a couple decent d-men who make Fucales' work a bit easier.
All that said , Fucale is now a recognized name in this league and
only time will tell how he progresses.I believe he's from Quebec
and we know some big name goalies have come from that province.
Fucale is now on the draft radar for several NHL teams.
The last game I attended was game 3 against Rimouski , several
seats from us there was a scout from the Carolina Hurricanes.
Remember there were a few scouts at that game and series because of
    the talent on both teams.
So keep an eye on Fucale and see what happens.

I hope the kid turns into something because I love him so much in the net! I attended 4 Mooseheads games this year. MacKinnon's 5 goal performance against Quebec, there final regular season home game against Saint John,Game 3 of there 2nd round playoff matchup against Quebec and Game 6 of there Round 3 matchup against Rimouski. And to be honest there wasnt a game where I didnt come away liking Fucale more then the last time I seen him play. Almost every game if he wasnt the best player he was one of.

In the 1st game I saw I really came away impressed with Nathan MacKinnon this being my 1st showing of him it really made me a believer in the kid. Grigorenko was no slouch that game either.

In the 2nd game I seen the best Moosehead was probably Fucale. No one was overly impressive for them in fact many of there players were invisible to me but Coyle,Huberdeau,Phillips,Beaulieu,Galiev had me impressed. Unfortunatley Jurco wasnt in the lineup that night.

In the 3rd game I seen Martin Frk was the most impressive player, crafty all over the ice making plays and having a very good game in general. Fucale was rock solid as always and Grigorenko was quiet but he made some very outstanding passes and you could really see his vision is a strong point for him.

In the 4th game I see the most impressive players were Jonathan Drouin and Zach Fucale,I knew Drouin was good before but he really impressed and I expect a HUGE season out of him next year. Fucale was rock solid as he always is and made some huge saves. He is the reason that game went to overtime. MacKinnon was alot more noticable then the last 2 games I seen him play aswell. Another note from that game is Jerome Gauthier-Leduc loves to stir up shit and his an agitator from the back end. Mouth never seemed to stop moving.

See , you know more than you think!
Next season we'll have to share a brew at one of the games.
Frk is an interesting player , I like his style and he seems to
be in on the action quite often.
Drouin is going places , if not for McKinnon , you'd hear his
name more often in draft talk.
I was at the season opener as well , what a debut by McKinnon!
Next season could be the year!
Shit , I sound like a Toronto fan , lol!

I am a Toronto fan...lol. Frk is either one of the best players or invisible I find. Drouin and MacKinnon will be a force to be reckoned with next year. And Fucale just adds that piece to the team to make them great.

Next years team should be interesting.
Brad Cuzner,Alexandre Cote,Konrad Albeltshauser,Steve Gillard,Sawyer Hannay are all overagers and the team would only be able to keep 3 of them around for next year. Personally I think they should keep Albeltshauser and then the last 2 spots are up for grabs in my eyes but I would probably give them to Gillard and Hannay,Cote and Cuzner dont really bring anything to the table for me and there forwards will be pretty good as it is so defence is something they will need.

    Drouin-MacKinnon-Frk
    Ryan-Boudreau-Ashley
    Ciampini-Andrews-Falkenham
    4th line

    Abeltshauser-Lewis
    Gillard-Hardie
    Hannay-Desmond

    Fucale
    Daigle

They also have Duke and Shewfelt on defence and one of them and or one of there 20 year old dmen could and probably will be moved for some forwards then they have some rookies/other veterans who will come over in trades or the draft and this team will be competitive. Could also depend on who they lose to Sherbrooke.

Man I feel for you , being a Leafs' fan I mean ,lol!
I like my Sens. and have been a fan since they entered the league.
Nice run down , will Albeltshauser get a chance to play in the N>H>L> next season at all?
Cote has been with the team for some time , I believe , and Cuzner seems to be liked by the fans but , I agree they need to focus on some good quality d-men.That's been a weak link for some time now.
    Thanks for the info!
