Default 14 Team $50 Rotp Keeper

    League ID - 51846
    Password - threegames

    League Features

    1. Yahoo Hosted Money League
    2. 14 Team Rotisserie Style with 25 man rosters
    3. Majority vote every two years on whether to increase entry fee
    4. Only players listed by yahoo are eligible to be drafted or rostered
    5. $50 dollar entry fee for 2011
    6. Top four teams each season finish in the money

    Rules and Regulations

    1. This is an ongoing pool. This means that the players you choose in the first draft could feasibly be on your team in the year 2020. Everything possible is being done to ensure that everyone in this pool is extremely knowledgeable about baseball, and extremely serious about baseball pools. I dont want people quitting after three years just because they’ve done poorly. Suck it up and rebuild. Sure it costs money, but its not about the money, its about fun (and bragging rights).

    2. Entry fee is $50 per year. This must be paid on or before draft day. Exceptions need to be arranged with me beforehand, and SOME leeway will be given in extreme circumstances.

    3. Every two years, the owners will review the entry fee. Only by majority vote, will the fee be increased. (A vote GREATER than 50% of the owners, meaning 8 plus)

    4. No refunds, obviously.

    5. Ideally, everyone will be in this pool for decades, but there will be times when people quit. When this happens, anyone interested in joining the pool will submit bids to me, via email, by a deadline.

    6. Every year, prior to the draft, owners can submit proposals for rule adjustments or additions. A vote of greater than 50% would pass the proposal.

    Awards / Prize Money

    1. 14 owners x $50 per owner = a pool for $700
    2. First Place - $350, Second Place - $150, Third Place - $125, Fourth Place - $75

    Drafting

    1. The draft will occur via live draft on yahoo on March 27th at 9:00 PM CST.
    2. To decide the order of the very first draft (2011) draft, numbers will be chosen randomly via yahoo. The draft order will then go 1 to 14, 14 to 1, 1 to 14, etc, until all roster spots are filled. Subsequent drafts will go in the order of finish in the regular season from placed 5-14. The last four teams will be in a lottery system for the top spots in the draft. The teams finishing 10th or better will draft in order. The draft will consist of a pro style draft each round. 14-1,14-1.

    3. Each subsequent draft will consist of twelve rounds.

    4. Players from the preceding draft class are eligible to be drafted only if they are listed on yahoo.

    Trading

    1. Any assets may be traded at anytime during the year. Assets are players, and draft picks. 2 for 1 trades, 3 for 1 trades, 3 for 2 trades, etc are all legal.
    2. There are no trade limits
    3. No trades can be made from 12:01 am on the day after the MLB trade deadline, until midnight 12:01 am the day after the World Series is won. However, there is UNLIMITED trading from midnight of the day the Series is won, until 5pm the day of the draft.
    4. Buddy trades will not be accepted. If anyone believes that a trade is FAR too lopsided, they may lodge a complaint with me. If that complaint is seconded, a vote will take place. A vote of 75% or greater will be sufficient to nullify the trade. THE COMPLAINT MUST BE LODGED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE TRADE. Owners win deals and lose deals - it happens. Sometimes owners lose deals badly. This rule is in place only for extreme situations. It is to prevent two friends from stacking one of the teams and splitting the prize money. It is also to prevent an owner who is planning on quitting the pool at seasons end from helping someone out by giving them a deal.
    5. Three way deals are acceptable
    6. Trading is permitted between teams up until the actual MLB trade deadline; at that point the rosters are locked.
    7. Any trades involving draft picks must be even (IE 1-1, 2-2, 3-3)

    Rosters

    1. Rosters consist of 19 standard roster players plus six bench players. Draft position is based on your finish from the season before. 1 C,1(1B), 1(2B),1 SS,1(3B),1 LF,1 CF,1 RF,1 UTIL,5 SP,5 RP,6 BN ,2 IR
    2. Position eligibility is determined by yahoo
    3. Waivers and Free Agency will follow yahoo rules

    Scoring

    1. This league is rotisserie style (see Yahoo for more information) with cumulative stats throughout the regular season only.
    2. Rankings are on a scale of 1 to 14 in each of the 10 categories (9 Hitters, 10 Pitchers).
    2. The points you receive for each category are based on your rank.
    A. If you finish first, you receive 14 points, second 13 points, and so on, until the last place team receives 1 point.
    B. If there is a tie in any category, the teams receive the average points for all tied positions. If there is a tie for first (between two teams), each team receives 11.5 points ((12+11)/2). If there is a tie for first (between three teams), each team receives 11 points ((12+11+10)/3)).
    2. Because there are 14 points per category and 10 categories, the maximum number of points a team can earn is 140.
    A. For Hitters: R,HR,RBI,OBP,SLG
    B. For Pitchers: W,SV,ERA,WHIP,K

    Keepers

    1. Each owner will be allowed to keep 15 players off of their 25 man roster
    2. Owners will keep 15 of their players on a yearly basis, thus each draft will consist of twelve rounds.
