Default Beltran, Cardinals agree to 2-year contract

Carlos Beltran and the World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a two-year contract pending results of a physical, a move that would fortify the team’s lineup following the departure of Albert Pujols.

    Eh, not completely!

Yeah, not quite. And can he stay healthy? Still, one of the better available solutions

they did need another OF. Beltran is still good for 20 dingers and a passable average as long as he is healthy. 2 years is not a high risk investment

Not a fan of him holding up with an NL team. He is much better suited for an AL club so he can DH. I don't see him holding up for 162 games. During Inter-league play he will be able to get a rest of sorts and DH. I dont know, he'll have his good moments, but think he shoulda signed in the AL.
