Its not surprising they extended him as they were asking for a ridiculous return if they did trade him. Some reports said they asked the New York Yankees for Manny Banuelos and Jesus Montero. I'll be amazed if they can get a nice return for Gavin Floyd, he just isn't that good IMO.
