I have no first hand knowledge but all I read is that he is called a \'solid\' d-man which to me means \'poor fantasy player\' to me.

Can this guy put points on the board or not? Never seen him play but I know he will slide in our own draft. Is he worth the draft pick, points only

No.
If you can afford to hide him for the year, take him late. But if you need points, better give him a year or two.
He still won\'t be fastasy-worthy.
I forsee a lot of owners getting conned into drafting or trading for him, a la Barret Jackman after he won the Calder.

If Alzner\'s like Jackman, he might be useful for PIMs and +/- if your pool counts those. But there must be better options out there.
