Buchholz vs Scherzer

What do you see from either of them for the rest of the season? I have a chance to pick either one up at a relatively cheap price, and I'm trying to decide if they're worth taking a chance on. If I'm going to deal for one of them, it will be at the expense of a decent (but not game-breaking) bat, or an Humber or Ogando type.

I would take Bucholz here. I really like him and expect good things. I am not high on Scherzer at all, very inconsistent and can't trust him.
In terms of who to drop, I would suggest Hughes. He has taken a step or two back this year (maybe having some more value in dynasty format)

We don't have waivers - I would be giving up my 2nd round pick in our mid-year draft this Thursday. I was in first until recently when my pitching started letting me down. I could use strikeouts, but I'm struggling in most picthing cats at the moment. I could use reliability, but I also want high upside.

Scherzer for me. Usually a better second half performer, whereas Buchholz still hasn't really shown me anything to get excited over.

Do you think both of them are marked upgrades over the guys in my sig? We start 5 (Hellickson is a rook, so diff category) - I've been struggling through what Floyd has to offer me, Kuroda can't get any support, and no idea what will happen with Anderson.

i like both actually. Scherzer first, then Floyd, Bucholz and Kuroda

I see Scherzer an upgrade over a number of guys like Myers and Hughes, but temper expectations. If you're looking for reliability I'm not confident enough to say Scherzer will provide that. I'd be banking on upside and hope to god he isn't hiding an injury (like I think)
