Modified NTC

Fletcher was saying a couple of the five players with NTC clauses, become modified NTC in the summer. Anyone know the details of the modifications ??

Also anyone know what the proposed Kubina deal was ??

I think some players can be traded during June or something like that. I think it\'s a one or two month window.

I heard that there is a sipulation within Kaberle\'s contract that says if they miss the playoffs he can be traded during the summer.

I heard that Kubina\'s is that if they don\'t make the playoffs starting at the entry draft until I think they said August 15 (don\'t quote me on that date) that they can trade him to whomever they please.

I am betting the others are similar and hence they weren\'t going to sell them off for paltry returns today and get more at the draft.

Sundin not re-signed

Kaberle stays

Kubina traded at the draft

McCabe bought out

Tucker bought out

Do buy outs cost the full salary or is it negotiable like the NBA, if it is full salary then it would not make much sense.

I think it is 2/3 of the contract and it is spread out over double the length of the remaining years of the contract and counts against the salary cap.
