Could get some nice dual eligibility.

Brad Hawpe is open to the idea of playing some first base next season, reports Troy Renck of the Denver Post.
"He’s a legitimate alternative," said Rockies general manager Dan O’Dowd. Hawpe carries the reputation as a below-average outfielder and UZR (Ultimate Zone Rating) certainly bears that out, however Hawpe played first base at LSU and in the minor leagues. Spelling Todd Helton at first base here and there could provide additional playing time for Seth Smith, Eric Young Jr. and Ryan Spilborghs.
