According to Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune, the White Sox have signed outfielder-designated hitter Andruw Jones to a one-year contract.
Jones, 32, will make $500,000 in 2010, with an additional $1 million in possible incentives. He batted .214/.323/.459 with 17 home runs and 43 RBI in 281 at-bats with the Rangers in 2009. Jones is not an everyday player anymore, but he still possesses some power and put together solid at-bats against left-handers in 2009. He'll do fine as an extra outfielder.
