Whatever happened to him? I know TSN was shocked he fell so far down the draft. But now he just seems to always get dealt in the minors. He's been dealt from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to Florida to Dallas.

Just curious what happened to him and why he never made it in the NHL.

He's had some big injuries and just hasn't been productive when healthy. He can't keep a spot in the minors which is why he's nowhere near the NHL at this point.

He liked grabbing onto Radulov's shirt tails in junior.

Can you believe that he was involved in the Hossa deal!?! I mean how bad was that? Hossa AND Dupuis for Armstrong, Christensen, Esposito and a late 1st rd pick.

I know hindsight is 20-20 but Pittsburgh still wins that deal even if Hossa wasn't involved.

This. His point totals were totally inflated by playing with the most dominant player in junior that season. 82 goals and 207 points in 85 games for Radulov that year. Esposito's points and points-per-game steadily dropped every year after Rads left the Q.

He does have talent, he just wasn't the future superstar that so many pegged him as. And unfortunately injuries have totally ruined any shot he has at an NHL career. A player who's game is based so much on speed is gonna struggle when both knees have been destroyed.

That first round pick was Daultan Leveille, who is playing in the NCAA.

Thanks all. Saw his name the other day, and was wondering what had happened to him.

Evidence A why I hate Don Waddell for ruining the Thrashers.
Evidence B: Bergfors, Oduya, Cormier (for Kovalchuk).

Radulov made him look like a superstar. Its too bad he had those injuries though he might of been able to carve out a nice niche in the nhl at some point. Lots of skill but didnt do much with it.
Straight Points keeper league. Keep 5 Forwards,3 defence,1 goalie.

F: Nicklas Backstrom, Joe Thornton, Henrik Zetterberg, Zach Parise, Logan Couture

D: Erik Karlsson, Alex Pietrangelo, Oliver Ekman-Larsson

Honestly he was looking to finally be turning a corner (somewhat) last year and I was interested to see what was going to happen with him. It's unfortunate, but maybe he can spend a year overseas and develop his game further and give it one last kick at the can the following season.

Injuries really did a number of him sadly.

Good for him though. He gets to live in one of the best coutries in the world and get paid to play hockey. Nice!
