He's been compared to Lecavalier by Dobber many times.

To be honest I have been a little dissapointed with Huberdeau in the playoffs so far. Just expected alot more out of him. The first time he was practically invisible and the other game he was suspended. Phillips and Coyle have impressed me each time and I know they dont have the high end potential of Huberedau but it wont surprise me if they end up having better careers.
Straight Points keeper league. Keep 5 Forwards,3 defence,1 goalie.

F: Nicklas Backstrom, Joe Thornton, Henrik Zetterberg, Zach Parise, Logan Couture

D: Erik Karlsson, Alex Pietrangelo, Oliver Ekman-Larsson

    G: Sergei Bobrovsky

    Sea Dogs stats thus far:

Charles Coyle: 32 points in 15 games
Zach Phillips: 29 points in 15 games
Jonathan Huberdeau: 18 points in 13 games

You have to also remember, Coyle and Phillips are both a year older then Huberdeau.. Huberdeau could be a little banged up aswell.. I know if I'm in a keeper league no matter the playoff stats thus far, I am still taking Huberdeau hands down over Coyle and Phillips..

    Good analysis.
Just watch the WJC and you can see he is elite at the driving possession and creating space and time for players like Coyle, Stone, etc. I see a lot of nugent hopkins in him with a slight bit more of a physical edge.

I bet he's also being used in defensive role sometimes because of his hockey sense. Also with Coyle now on the team, there's only so much puck to go around.

Phillips is 7 months 7 days older than Huberdeau and was in the same 2011 NHL draft class

I stand corrected!! But I think Huberdeau would still be the better choice long-term!!

Huebrdeau plays like a Giroux. Lecavalier is a very poor comparison for various reasons, but the first one being that he is a big centre whereas Huberdeau is a very skinny winger.

I'd compare him to Jeff Carter, especially with all the time he's seeing on the wing.

he looked good in his first memorial cup game (a little over enthusiastic, probably deserved a suspension for his elbow hit), and absolutely fantastic last night. him and Coyle make an incredible duo at the junior level.

the development this year between now and when i watched him in Gatineau in the fall has been very noticable. I was worried before that he was too one dimensional and would look invisible. now, he is strong on the puck, wins his board battles, and is relentless with back pressure. he was responsible for a lot of steals and turnovers last night.

it's been a very encouraging two games.

He was definitely noticeable last night. He was a force with the puck. He has come soooo far since his first season with the SeaDogs.. 35 points in 61 games.. But he was still plus 28 that season!!
