They didn't take care of their own business, plain and simple.

    Incidentally, at no point in time this year have I ever refered to the Canucks as dominant. I spent most of the past 2 weeks wondering how the hell they were competing for the President's Trophy. They've looked shaky (a lot) and they've been finding ways to win when things aren't working. Nothing dominant, but they earned it.
    I never said that you said it, I'm saying in general. I have friends that are Canucks fans that are using the President's Trophy as reasoning for why they would win.

    Kings in 7. Doughty scores the winner in game 7!!

    I would absolutely LOVE your words to become true!

    Sorry, I wasn't implying that you were attributing that sentiment to me. I was merely offering my take on their non-dominance.

    As for your friends citing the President's Trophy, they have a point. It did work so well last year didn't it?

    President's Trophy doesn't mean anything to this team. It's fun to have and obviously should be regarded as an accomplishment but to this team it's just another toy. They have their eye on the much bigger prize. Anyone citing winning the President's Trophy as a symbol of dominance for the Canucks simply hasn't been watching their hockey games. I wouldn't consider those friends to be Canucks fans Tyler haha.

    Kings in 7 but Luongo only starts 3. And more importantly: Yes, they will riot.

    i don't know i watched a lot of kings games and own Doughty and Richards and can say for a fact they have been poor. i understand Quick is a great goalie but Gagne, Kopitar, Carter, and Richards have looked terrible. Richards is a big time playoff guy thought so I expect his game to elevate. Seriously though - don't know how some of you justify some of your predictions. LA in 4? LOLOLOL

    The only thing the president's trophy gives is home ice advantage throughout the playoffs, which some might view as an edge.

    I kinda think closing out the season with 8 wins out of 9 with 3 shutouts against teams fighting for a playoff spot without your leading scorer is fairly dominant but thats just me. You can argue the games were close but check out the ice time of the top lines, AV played all his lines keeping in the playoffs coming.

    But I only watched 80 of the 82 games so maybe i missed something.

    series predictions;

    canucks in 7
    close, dirty, at times vicious, series.
    kings' size and powerplay give them the edge in early games.

    You missed the two games they were not dominant obviously!

    I did predict a kings victory in seven but if the Canucks win it will not surprise me at all.
