I think Pittsburgh is just plain better across the board. Virtually any measure. The problem of course is Philly is still a fantastic team. I'd prefer to not pick a favourite in this series and rather just sit back and enjoy the ride. I'm taking The Fans in seven games since if it goes seven we all win.

Can't wait for the series to start!

Looking forward to matchups in this series:

    - Staal's line going against Giroux's line
    - Grossman/Coburn and Couturier's line going against Geno's line
    - Crosby's line against Timonen and Schenn's line

Bylsma will throw Staal out there against Giroux every time he can and Laviolette will surely try to throw Grossman/Coburn against Geno every chance he gets. Expecting a lot from Sid when for the 1st time in his career he's not the focus of opposing teams best and toughest defensive players.

The only thing I hope for is Jagr at least ending one game in PIT.

I'll take the Flyers, but Malkin will eat up Couturier all game long. Guy was a playoff dud last year

I think Coburn on Geno is the better matchup. Couts and Coburn can really really help us not worry too much.

Crosby could get out of control though.

The key to the series is how fast Bryz can get in a groove. If he lets in the first goal on the first shots in Game 1 (which I will miss because stupidly I decided to set up a date that night.... oh the things guys will do for girls), we will be in major trouble.

But then again, we are THE COMEBACK KIDS.

Pens in 5, the Flyer rookies will be exposed and for as much talk about the Flyers getting into the Pens head I think it is the other way around. The all of the Flyers are talking which means they are desperate for some kind of advantage and the Penguins aren't playing along, they are to experienced to let that happen. 1 clean hit made Philly lose their mind and IMO the Penguins are a much tougher/physical team throughout their line up.

I'm taking the penguins in 6.

If the flyers had even just 1 of Meszaros, JVR, or Pronger (especially Pronger) healthy, I would've gone with them

you guys ready for some playoff hockey???

I can't believe I'm saying this because I ****ing hate Philly with a passion, but I really wouldn't mind seeing them beat the Pens, I think far too many people (both here and in the hockey media community) aren't giving the Flyers near enough respect in this series and I like cheering for the underdog

I'm gonna be bold here. I fricken hate them but I think Philly takes it down tonight. Still like the Pens in 6, but I think Philly takes game 1 in a low-scoring, tight-checking affair.

I'd be shocked if the Flyers kept this series close. Pens in 5.

Get ready to watch the Penguins put on a show. This is exciting.
