i honestly have no idea who will win the series. both teams could potentially come on top. i'm just gonna have to give the win to the pens because of their star power. in the clutch, i think with malkin, crosby, neal, staal, at least one of them will be able to come through when the team needs it. pens in...6 or 7.

    flyers in 6.

Flyers have played well on the road all year, especially in Pitt's arena. They have also been very effective vs fleury. Grossman in will be huge. Briere was also back on the ice at practice today. Danny B is about to go ape shit.

I'm concerned that Fleury may be fatigued. If he is then that could throw a wrench into the pens playoff hopes. Pens need an improvement on their #2 goalie.

No doubt. I'm just leanin' Ev's way and think this is ripe for an upset. Flyers have the firepower and D to pull it off. Either way I will def be watching this series.

They are so evenly matched up. It's gonna come down to which team does not let the emotion get the best of them and make the stupid penalties, and gets caught up in the " junk". It's gonna come down to a game 6 or game 7 and something will happen " emotion" changing to the game where a team will react / respond and thus change momentumn and give the other team the opening to win the series.

You should really look on the bright side...one goes home at the end of the 1st round for sure...odds are the winner draws BOS in round 2.

Boy, there's so many wildcards in these series on the Flyer's side:

-Is Briere healthy, or just playing?
    -Same with Grossmann.
-Does the Schenn, Briere, Simmonds line produce as a viable second line?
-How does Bryzgalov perform, and is his injury a factor?
-What kind of a playoff player is Voracek?
-Do the Flyers rookies shine or wilt?
-How does the penalty killing hold up?
-How tightly do the officials call the series? (a special teams dominated series figures to favor the penguins)

From the pens, you pretty much know what to expect, the only questions are with regards to how the series is called, and whether or not Crosby makes it through seven game series if he's targeted repeatedly, and the officials are letting things go...

Should be a great series, ...I'll go Flyers in 7. Lots of hitting, lots of fighting, lots of injuries, lots of powerplays, lots of whining, at least one suspension, and lots of good hockey in between.
