    Default Letang vs Subban

Had a GM approach me about the possibility of this trade in the off season. Given Letang's recent struggles in the injury department would this be a decent move with other pieces thrown in? I don't I'd give Letang straight up for Subban at this point.

I personally wouldn't do it because I generally don't downgrade talent in trades. Letang > Subban IMO. Sure he has some injury concerns but he can produce at Subban's clip in fewer games.

Letang for me as well. So much potential with the team that he is on.

In no way would I do that trade one for one, but I am more inclined to try a multi player deal for example he has Rinne would it not be advisable to do a trade of Ward/Letang if he offers to upgrade my goalie?

Then, the best player becomes Rinne. Pls, tell us more about the other players on the table. It can get interesting, quickly.

Ward/Letang for Rinne/Subban, now this is a deal that gets interesting. I like Rinne over Ward easily, and although Letang is better than Subban, I still expect Subban to muscle his way into the elite tier of defenders AND you don't have the concussion issues you will be dealing with owning Letang. That said as with everyone else, definitely not worth a move unless you get Subban + out of the deal.

See that's what I'm thinking. Especially giving Subban will help in regards to peripheral point generation on top of what should be shot/goal heavy. I'd like this. Again it's something I'd likely revisit in the offseason.

This is what I gave up to get my hands on Letang and I don't regret it one bit.

Letang is already one of the best offensive d-men in the entire league and his salary is ridiculous. I would do that trade again any day of the week, injuries or not.

Letang is way better than Subban. Subban has nice upside, but he's not a mature player and he won't be as good as Letang for a few years.

If you can get Subban+ then I would definitely consider it. I personally would make the Rinne/Subban deal if you can get that one setup.
