I just won my league and I'd say these 3 trades really helped lol....I hoarded goalies when they came on the wire and used the fact I had 4 solid ones to leverage these trades

Early season I traded to a guy desperate for a goalie (I had Hiller Niemi, Fleury)
My M Richards, Brandon Dubinsky and Hiller for
His Malkin, Parenteau and Montoya (his goalies were terrible had no ture starter)


After the Krecji incident traded
My Roy, Fleischman and Fleury for
His Craig Smith, Crosby and Brodeur

Mid season after hiller won about 3/16 games I traded the same guy
My Ovie, Clarkson and Garrisson, Vokoun
For Giroux, Gagne and Green, Hiller *went nuts after!!
(helped me Immensly with a couple waiver moves and addition of Giroux FW)

In early January, I traded away Wideman and a 7th round for Couture and an 10th round. Couture made double the points since and helped me win my first championship!

This one worked for me early in the year:

To Me: Malkin, Wilson and a 3rd; to Him: OV, Jack Johnson and Zajac

then 4 months later:

To Me: Ovechkin, a 2nd and 4th; to Him: Sharp, Gagner and M Staal

The first trade brought me Malkin (which got me to the final), the second trade (towards end of year) was made for the fall. I still can't believe I got OV back. Let's hope he rebounds.

I had a few simple trades that made the difference in one keeper.

I traded S.Mason and a 3rd for Cole and Kunitz. I also traded a 6th for O.Jokinen.

On paper these don't look like much but all three helped me squeeze into the playoffs as the number 6 seed. Unfortunately I ended up in 2nd but without these depth moves I don't even make the playoffs.

My other keeper league trade is a bit more flashy as I traded Krejci and D.Garrison for J.Benn who is now one of my 4 keepers. I ended up pulling off an amazing run from the 7th seed to win it all last night.

I was out of the running in mid pack just before Christmas. Green was just coming back from injury.

I sent: Toews, Green, Brown and my 2013 2nd
I got back: Zetterberg, Tavares, Ribeiro, Boyle and his 2013 1st

Green got injured again, then Toews went out. I clawed back up to 2nd. With Green/Toews healthy I figure its pretty close, but either way it saved my bacon.

Well my best trade came down to lastnight to find out if it was a great trade or not.

I gave: Landeskog and 4th round pick (I was going to lose Landeskog for nothing this summer anyways)

I got: 1st round pick that ended up turning into the first overall. Hello Yakupov!
