I think Stamkos will win here, and maybe he deserves it, after all its hard to look past his goal totals. That said, he has had a lot more to work with in TBay, then JT has had on the Island. Still, this is a cage match, and Stamkos has the goods! I agree with most though, this will be much closer in the years to come.

Don't mistake opinion for fact.
This was the easiest matchup to vote on. I didn't really have to think.
This one was actually pretty tough for me....I think long-term Tavares might be the better option, but that's not for certain of course. Looking back on what Stamkos has accomplished to this point made me give him the vote. Like others have said, in a few years this poll might turn out differently.

I agree as this is a keeper cage match and Taveres might go even higher with better linemates and stamkos might slip a bit when St. Louis retires but either way these 2 are really close IMO.

Went with Stamkos based on his numbers over the past few years, but it's still pretty close.
I always wonder what we'd be saying if NYI had done the usual blundering move and taken Hedman #1 in that draft, letting Tavares land in TBay....
