    Default Howard....concerns?

Howard is out again for tonight's game vs. LA:

Is there reason to be concerned? Is this injury more serious than a groin strain? He's been out since Sunday.

I, like most Howard owners, will be picking up MacDonald in the interim.

The Wings are probably just resting him because they don't need to play him. They said the injury wasn't serious.

They better stop resting him soon or they're gonna lose home ice.....because of the stupidest rule in the NHL that gives the three division winners the top three seeds. Detroit and Nashville are likely going to finish 4 and 5 while Dallas will get home ice although they'd be 4th in the Central.

I can't believe Joey MacDonald is still available in your league.

better to rest him and have him 100% healthy for the playoffs than rush him back and risk re injury to the groin.

I would think McDonald gets the next 2 or 3 games.

groin injuries can keep goalies on the shelf for weeks.

I dont think Howards was that serious, but better to play it safe.

grab McDonald as insurance. You probally should have did this a few days ago.

I heard he wasn't expected to start until the Nashville game Saturday. That was at the beginning of the week. Those hoping he'd be back for Friday were just wishful thinkers.

I just noticed on my news feed from Fantrax it said something about him possibly being ready for Tuesday and that he was going to get a practice in @ LA..... I'm assuming he has been shut down until next week.

Quite true. I'd think Detroit will be on a big push for the final 10 games, just trying to avoid a first-round seeding with Nashville.

( Not saying they'd lose the series...but there isn't a team in the league that would want to start the playoffs in a battle with the Preds, IMO. )
