I would drop him if it is playoffs time. I'm planning on doing the same. Drop him when the week begins and if you feel comfortable that you will win the matchup before the end of the week, pick him up again and hope he returns.
Then just do it for the next week (if you are still in). I don't think anyone will risk picking him up if it jeopardizes their chances of winning the championship. If you are in a keeper, then don't do it. One year leagues, I wouldn't feel bad dropping.

Perfect, created a second half surge in my pool and was able to get a first round bye which will let me get my guys (Letang & Crosby) healthy without having to drop them for that first playoff week. Now if only there could be some news on Hanzal being healthy by the beginning of next week that would be the best.
Would be interested and cool to see Pens roll 5 forwards on the PP but when Letang gets back I think he will be manning the point with hopefully Malkin, Neal, Crosby and Kunitz
