Zherdev, Kronwall & 1st for Weber, Yandle & Smyth

I am looking to improve my defence from my wingers and have the offer of:

Kronwall, Zherdev, my 1st (middle of round, 20 picks in round) for Weber, Yandle and Ryan Smyth.

Well I don\'t know too much about Yandle but I will try to give you some advice....

Kronwall is injury prone so it wouldn\'t be terrible to get a solid dependable d man. Zherdev has seemed to get out of his funk and putting up nice points this year. I don\'t think this offer is right for you since I don\'t think that Weber is a huge upgrade in defense. To give up a first round pick on top of Zherdev doesn\'t seem like a good idea if you are trying to upgrade defense. Not with Weber anyhow. You defense isn\'t bad to be honest with you. I think you have better options elsewhere. Make sure you make it known to everyone you are in the market for defensman and let everyone know what you are willing to give up. Hope this helps...

Hmmm... interesting deal.

Weber for Kronwall
When you say your league \'counts everything\' how do PIM factor in? If they are very valuable I think Weber could be worth a lot more then an band-aid boy Knonwall.

Zherdev for Smyth
Maybe it is the stuff I am drinking but something tells me that Zherdev is the side of the deal to be on for this one. While his PIM are lower then Smyth I think his offensive stats could pass Smyth by a comfortable margin down the road.

Yandle for a pick (say 10th overall)
Depends on who you could pick. In my league the pick would be worth more.

Overall I think I am saying I don\'t like this deal for you but it is close dependingo on the details of your league.

PIMs do count though they are not that important. The draft picks will be anyone who has played their first game this year or were not picked last year (5 rounds, total of 100 picks).

I am not sure about the trade either, I do like Weber and do have alot of wingers though, but the 1st will be someone like Gagner or Bernier, or Niskanen.
