    Default Quick decision ( hiller/Carter for vokoun/clowe)

I need to decIDE on this today...likely this morning.

Help! ReP given for analytical answers.

My vokoun, clowe and likely non keeper hemsk
    For
His hiller, Carter and likely non keeper Ennis

    Who wins and why?

I'd do it. Hiller alone is worth a ton more than Vokoun in a keeper league, and possibly even is worth more than him this year with the run the Ducks are on - especially given that Vokoun is likely to get less starts than Hiller with a better backup (and future no 1) in Neuvirth.

Even besides the Hiller situation, I prefer Carter over Clowe in a keeper league such as yours, even with the PIM category factored in. While PIMS are included, they are really an afterthought counting as only 1 point each, the real value in this league comes from points and PPPs and also GWGs, all areas where Carter should easily beat Clowe year in year out. Ennis over Hemsky is a no-brainer especially if you can find a way to keep Ennis - Hemsky's injury problems alone and the fact that he's less of a goalscorer does it for me.

Assuming equal plus/minus, looks to me like a 70-point player with 25PPPS, 6GWGs and 20PIMs is worth more than a 60-point player with 20PPPs, 3GWGs and 100PIMs. By my calculation the 1st player gets you around 600 pts and the 2nd player gets you around 575. This is the kind of compare I'd use for Carter v Clowe, but again, even if they are close or Clowe is slightly more valuable in any given year, I still think Hiller/Ennis over Vokoun/Hemsky is a no-brainer.

    AWESOME FEEDBACK. Well deserved Rep.

I did screw one thing up. it is MY Ennis for HIS Hemsky.
I don't think it's a deal breaker cause neither Hemsky or Ennis will be kept on my squad.

Thanks for taking the time to do that comparison. I think this is a fantastic move for me...and if Carter gets traded...who knows, he's young enough to return to his 40 goal, 90 points days (he's only a couple years removed from that season.)
