Toews has gotten dinged up a bit but man does Chicago look different when this kid is in the game.
He\'s touted as a franchise player not just a number 1 center.
I say keep him - the special ones show you something early on and he\'s showing it.
There are peripheral parts of the trade, but the main thing would be me giving up Toews. I already will have one of the first 2 picks in the upcoming draft. So regardless of where they go I would end up with both Doughty and Stamkos. I really don\'t think I should give up Toews...is it worth it?
I might try for this year\'s first and 2009 first...as a chance to nab Tavares or Hedman.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks

I\'d hold onto Toews... he\'s shown he\'s better than a point per game player on a team thats becoming exciting to watch. With him, Havlat and Kane all healthy they could put up big numbers.
While Stamkos and Doughty could be great fantasy players, they have yet to play a game and prove they can be as good as quickly at the NHL level. You\'ll still get one of them and have Toews - i\'d be happy with that

Let me be succinct..
A bird in hand is better than two in the bush.
Today is the tomorrow I worried about yesterday.
I agree with everyone\'s take on Toews. He has exceptional skills. However, one thing kind of worries me about him; his injuries. I know he usually has minor injuries, but that still makes him miss games and that\'s maybe significant enough to possibly become a Band-Aid Boy!
Well, I\'m just saying...
Thank you everyone...It is pretty much as I figured it. I was partial to keeping Toews anyway. The most recent offer I received was Gagner and a pick for Toews and a pick...I cancelled that one too.

I traded away Toews for ribiero, boyes, Miller and a 1st round pick.
I picked up Mueller and hope he can be a PPG player in replacement. Plus if I can get Kyle Turris or Stamkos next year I will be golden
