I traded Zetterberg straight up for Duchene in my keeper pool,
Maybe you could offer Pavelski + Shattenkirk + mid-late round pick for Duchene?
I believe I have a shot at landing Duchene in my keeper pool...
His owner would need a young d-men + a forward in this trade I believe.
Probably a pick going back too, maybe some pieces only for this season.
Looking at my roster, what would you be ready to package for Duchene?
What would be overpayment?
IMO, Backstrom, Skinner, Staal, Carlson & Rinne would be intouchable.
Cheers

I'd try Shatty and any forward you dont want to keep. I think EKane might be the most valuable long term.

Try Carlson and Setoguchi. Build your D around Shatt and Elliott. Try and get a late pick or two back as well.

I know you had Carlson as untouchable, but with the emergence of Wideman the wait on Carlson will be longer than I'd thought. I mean, he'll still be a 40 or 45 guy, but he won't be that 60+ guy for four+ years. I think Shatt and Elliott get close to that level and sooner.

Thanks for replying Dobber!
However he already rejected an offer of Carlson + Fleischmann (that I picked up on waivers at the start of the year)... So Seto won't do it. Pavelski probably won't either, so maybe Nash or Zetts...
You think Washington will keep Wideman? His contract expires this year, so my reasoning was that Carlson would run the show while Green keeps getting injured.

I think that the way Wideman is playing that they will try to re-sign him. But to me, Carlson should do the trick in this deal and if it doesn't then walk away. No way I would add a star forward to Carlson, he's crazy. Duchene is not to forwards what Carlson will be to defensemen.

Haha I will sure do that, with your compliments as well
Consensus seems that a 70 points forward + Carlson or Shatty is overpayment for Duchene... That's how I felt too, good to get the confirmation. And his owner doesn't have pieces to add that would really interest me.
What's Duchene's upside you think?
PPG player? more than that?

I just acquired Duchene this morning for Plekanec straight across. The other GM put Duchene on the block and I put out Plekanec as a "feeler" offer. I may have stole him, but the GM is looking for instant production. I don't think he got that in Pleks but that's not the point. Just to let you know how he was valued in my league.

How do you guys value Duchene compared to Ryan Kesler in a multi-cat league? It doesn't count hits, but it does count PIM. League in sig.
