A new injury?
Mikko Koivu (undisclosed) did not travel with the Minnesota Wild to St. Louis.
We don't know the nature or severity of Koivu's injury, but it's safe to assume that he won't play in the Wild's Saturday afternoon game. Koivu has 10 goals and 37 points in 45 games this season.

According to Russo he is out for today's game.
Russo: Mikko Koivu didn't practice due to his undisclosed injury. He skated before practice and is "50-50" to go on the road trip, coach Mike Yeo guesses. Regarding the mystery with his injury, the Wild is trying to protect him because he is going to try to come back very soon and play with it. There's nothing else going on, for those that are emailing and tweeting me with conspiracy theories.

Koivu skated again this morning but will not travel with the team according to Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune, via Twitter. We should now be able to rule Koivu, and Josh Harding for that matter, out for the next two games.
