Results of Fleury\'s 1st game back

Fleury who was sent down to the AHL for conditioning played his first game in over 2 months tonight. The baby Pens won 3-1 and Fleury made 30 saves. Just in case anyone was wondering how he did.

I was checking that game out as well....

I dealt for Fleury and Price to solidify my tenders going forward in a keeper.

I\'m really looking forward to having Fleur back, I just don\'t buy into the fact hes not a good peripherals goalie

Sav % .906 last season after going up each of his first 3 years prior!

The kid keeps getting better!

I have to agree with you, he is consistently getting better, and not just the team in front of him. I think he knows what people think of him and I think he is hell bent on proving everyone wrong.

I have had him in every hockey pool I have been in for the last 3 years and I have no regrets about it!

Good to see him doing well in the minor rehab stint. I know this is a rehab stint, but im curious to see what he\'ll do against nhl calibur talent after such a long layoff. How do you guys see him doing when he returns to the Pens? Does anybody think he\'s going to have a continuous struggle sustaining good goaltending since he\'s most likely going to be splitting time with Conklin from here on out? I dont want to have him blowing up my GAA and SV% weekly cause he needs to get used to the NHL again.

He has white pads now, so he will do great when he´s back in the nhl. :-)

BTW he should play 2 more games in the AHL, and they are playing friday, saturday and monday. That means Fleury will be back early next week.

update on friday\'s game.. the baby pens lost 1-0 but fleury saved 27 shots and was names the 2nd star of the game for the 2nd straight game. i realize its only the A but i\'m glad he is playing well and hopefully this will restore his confidence

hey big mistake, he faced 27 shots, but he only saved 26 :P :cheer: :lol: :laugh:

BTW he will probably get another start tonight, and if he´s doing well again, he will be back with the big guys as early as monday!

This is looking like he\'s going to be a very good pickup for me......PLEASE GOD(REAL LIFE OR FANTASY) GIVE HIM THE STRENGTH TO CARRY THIS PLAY OVER TO THE BIG CLUB. They\'ve showed that they\'ve been able to play someone defense since he\'s been injured. Lets hope that the Pens dont say \"Fleury\'s back so screw defense. If the other team scores 7, we gotta score 8.\"

fleury won his 3rd straight start for the baby pens as they won 3-2 and he was named the 2nd star yet again. looks as though he stole the game for them as the baby pens were seriously out shot and fleury ended up saving 33 of 35 shots.

well he lost his second game back, but only 1 - 0, as previously posted by you dangles. heh heh.

corrections aside, this ankle injury and subsequent conditioning stint could be just what MAF needed to get some confidence back with that fragile psyche of his.

let\'s hope he can translate his play in the A to the big show!
