Penguins - Crosby + Staal + Neal = A move?
Anyone see the Pens making a move with all these injuries? If so, who? There isn't much substance to the article below, just the mentioning of some prospects. Perhaps a prospect Dman would be packaged as the Pens tend to stockpile defensemen for this purpose...

Hell no to Ales Hemsky. He wouldn't survive one game in Pittsburgh with the rate people get injured there.
Tuomo Ruutu fits Dan Bylsma style of hockey perfectly. Not too sure it's good idea to go after rentals this year and Ruutu would probably be just that as there's probably not enough cap space to keep him around for next year, but I'd love to see him with the Penguins.

Andrei Kostitsyn could be a cheap option. He will be UFA this summer and I am not sure the Habs intend to offer him a contract given their future cap issues.

I wouldn't mind Kulemin. He and Malkin did indeed have great chemistry for national team in WJC in 2006 and they have also played on the same team for Magnitogorsk. Though the so called chemistry hasn't been on display so much in the past few WC tournaments they've played together.
Not sure what the Leafs would be looking for in return though. If you ask the Leafs fans, they probably say Jordan Staal. And that's just not happening.

What about Iginla going to the Pens? They need another stud to come over and this guy would fit the bill perfectly.

I can't see how Pens could take that cap hit. It could fit this year if Crosby is out until playoffs but next year, not so much. Only way I see Iggy being a possibility if Paul Martin is going the other way with some additional salary but why would the Flames take a deal like that? Or if two of Jordan Staal/Chris Kunitz/Zbynek Michalek are heading out, and it most certainly wouldn't be Staal. And losing a top-6 forward and a top-4 D-man for Iggy doesn't make much sense.
Simply put, the salary cap doesn't make Iggy to Pens a possibility. Atleast I don't see a fit.

It doesnt make sense to make a short-sighted move when you don't know when Sid is coming back. Pens are not going to win a cup with Crosby in the press box.
