I read on Caps Insider today that he was seen walking around the room (didn't skate) with a 'noticeable limp'. Apparently, neither he nor backstrom will play tonight Vs LA.

Not quite sure this helps as much as you think. Carlson and Green were both on the 2nd PP unit even after Green returned. I still believe Carlson is being groomed to be their stud, but right now they're riding Wideman...and playing 4 F on the 1st PP unit. Why isn't Green even DTD? A few guys were hurt over the weekend and they were DTD the morning after. It even takes weeks for him to even be DTD let alone eligible for the IR!

At this point I pretty much want Green to take the whole season off in the hopes he a) gets a cheap contract, and b) comes back actually 100% next season.
