Nicklas Backstrom (Washington) - Head?

I'm a little confused with this "side of caution" thing. If he has a concussion, just say it. Why is everyone so afraid to admitt the concussion thing. If he has it, he has it and adjust accordingly. But if not, why is he practicing one day, not playing the next game and then questionable for the game against LA tonight. Sounds like he's injured to me.....just me venting. I own him and can't wait for him to get back. I'm in 1st and can't afford to lose any more ground since I recently lost Eberle.

Does anyone know if Backstrom is indeed a "no go" for tonight?

Never mind, just read they sent Backstrom and Green back to Washington before tonights game......great.

They have a 4 game home stand in which I'm sure he will play in, probably as early as Wednesday

Bold statement -- with the way the league is right now, I wouldn't be sure of much.

I agree it should be cut and dry if you have a concussion your out if not then play, Looking at Ovi's play since Backstroms been out they need him back in.

Hopefully they didn't let Backstrom sit anywhere near Green on that flight. Poor bastard who did have to sit next to Green probably now has a concussion, torn MCL, and no groin.

It sounded so promising at first re a quick return but im starting to worry slightly, I know when Im hung over and have headaches the hoody-hat combo comes in handy.

Urgh. I have 3 weeks left before my playoffs start, and I'm starting to slide big time. A little worried I may not even make it, and this Backstrom injury is killing me. Especially since OV can't seem to get it together consistently.

And even worse because I took a chance and dressed the "optimistically healthy" Backstrom over the "injured-out weeks" Neal this week.

Backstrom on IR retroactively means he could be activated at any time. IR is 7 day minimum. Gives roster space for Kundratek
