Test done and the dr couldn't tell today but a small concussion/migraine. Have to wait for tmrw and a new test #caps
edit: was re-tweeted by ALL the caps beat writers i follow so he seems legit.

he apparently has a history with Migraines so hopefully its that. Then again so does Letang and he isnt returning any time soon.

The way the league is cautious against concussions now, a simple headache will keep him out for a loooonnng time.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.

According to Dale Hunter, Nick Backstrom worked out off-ice today and is day-to-day. "He seems fine," Hunter said.

Asked about how Backstrom was doing Wednesday morning, Hunter said: He's fine. He's still got to be evaluated.
Sounds like this is pretty minor, I would expect him to play in the next two games, probably not missing any time at all.
I think Bourque will get about 8 games.

they play Sat in SJ and Monday in LA then return home for 4 games so in my opinion he wouldnt be going unless he plans to play in at least one of the games in Cali

It was feared that Backstrom sustained a concussion after he was elbowed in the head on Tuesday. Those feared were alleviated when he skated on Thursday and Friday, but he didn't participate in Washington's Saturday morning skate. Capitals coach Dale Hunter portrayed this is a case of him erring on the side of caution and not evidence that Backstrom has suffered a setback. Consider him day-to-day for now.
