Keeper league, points only, who do you like best from this list? I'm looking for production for this year. It's a salary cap league, and I have barely any cap space to work with(under 1 mil), so that's why there aren't any big names on this list.

That's a bunch of mid-level to useless young D-men on that list. From them I'd take Despres who's been solid for the Pens and will get to stay up for the time being with all the injuries Pens have at the backend. Despres will see some PP-time as well so he's a nice short-term pickup - and in the long-term he's also best of these guys along with Brodie.

I think in this sitch you should try to find the guy who will get the most consistent ice time for the rest of the year, regardless of injuries.
Unless you can play "swap the hot 5th defenceman game" really well from month to month.
Maybe Macdonald as "veteran" guy on the Isles is a safe pick.
