I would add Erik Johnson immediately. The upside there is huge and he's coming off from the best game of the season so far. Hopefully sign of things to come and he'll start producing up to his potential. I'm a believer in EJ and expect him to be a solid 50 point D-man for years to come. If he's sitting in FA, I'd make room for him.

My question now would be who do I drop to grab him, it doesn't have to be a d man, rundblad? Elliot? Hodgson? Parenteau?

Kyle Quincey would be my choice.

I'd take EJ over Rundblad, Parenteau and maybe a few others too.

I'd rather not drop Quincey as he is in my top 4 and counting right now I need to build some defensive depth so if one of my top 4 gets hurt that I don't fall too far. I'm leaning toward rundblad unfortunately. I think the move to Phoenix hurts him for a year or two at least and I may be able to grab him again after this season.

Hmm pareteau is also tempting but I like my forward depth for potential move later.

EDIT: thanks alot for the help, always nice when other people can confirm what your already thinking haha.

No way. Drop Quincey. He's obviously the odd man out. Keeping him over Rundblad, Johnson or any other D man on your team in a keeper is a pretty bad choice.

He's the odd man out right now but a month ago was he? and in a month will he still be? I'm not sure, What I do know is that if any of my current top 4 get hurt al I have to maybe help out in Enstrom if he keeps the points coming and stays healthy himself.

I do see your point about Rundblad but I'm top 3 this year and I'm going for it this season. I could do Parenteau but he's playing petty well this year and he might make a good add on in a trade in the future.
