Ryan Whitney?
Does this guy have any left or is he all but an average defenseman now? I feel with the line he has to work with on PP he would be getting some sick points by now. Maybe he is still hurt?

He admittedly is struggling since the injury troubles, but apparently is healthy. Seems to be missing a step, mentally and physically. Hasn't been moving his feet or making those quick decisive passes that were so successful last year.
He's been getting more involved offensively the last week so hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Tom Renney wont give him that top PP spot permanently until he shows some consistency.
Be patient....for a few more weeks.

Considering dropping him straight up. I am trying to give him more time, but its very hard to do with the way he has been playing.
I'll be totally honest, I've lost some faith in Whitney. He's a skilled player and should be manning the point for an offensively-gifted team (at least for the time being) but he's always been a soft player and I seriously question his heart and guts. I have a feeling he's one of those players who doesn't dig the pressure and has a penchant for milking injuries. This is just my opinion but I usually have a good read on these type of things. Can he put up some very good points? Yes. Do I trust him? Not at all.

I've been offered Whitney as a replacement for IR Giordano and I can't bring myself to pull the trigger. I'm scared that the minute i accept this trade Whitney will go down with another ankle injury. I welcome any response as I'm still CONSIDERING the offer.
