I get his 3rd, his 5th and an his aquired 5th, Visnovsky and Langenbrunner

I give my 11th,12th,13th,Rafalski and Kovalev

I currently own a 35 pt lead in this points only keeper(8) where third place is 65 pts back still. see my sig.

I think it is a good deal. Your +/- will take a hit losing rafalski but other than that I think you win this by getting the better picks.

Perosnally I wouldn\'t touch this. Rafalski is a top 5 fantasy pool D Man and he\'ll be on Detroit for a long time. Kovalev is tearing it up and won\'t slow down. You get a band aid boy in Langenbrunner, Vishnovsky I like but nowhere near Rafalski. I don\'t know how important picks are in your league but the fact you don\'t get a top rounder makes me say no.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

again Goals and Assists are all that matter. I was not planning on moving Rafalski but that offer has got to get me to think. Aswell I was not protecting Kovalev but he is a big reason I have such a lead.

For the Next 26 or so games points wise you lose this trade. Since you are not protecting Kovelev anyhow next year at the draft you win this. I don\'t think you lose this by enough to cost you the win this year but it all depends on how risky you are.....

I might do that deal if only one of Rafalski or Kovalev was involved....but you really lose a lot at both RW & D by making this deal. 5th RD picks generally don\'t get you a whole lot, the 3rd might.....but if you are trying to win this year, keep Rafalski & Kovalev. Your 35 pt lead could disappear quickly....

I think the point should be made that the upgrade in picks is HUGE! I\'m not sure if I would do this deal...I would love to keep Rafalski...but if you\'re comfortable with losing him then so be it.

Anyway to trade some of those newly aquired picks to pick up some solid young D? Green, etc...

Or is it possible maybe to draft a young D in the 3rd and 5th rounds?
