I think at worst Eberle for Ryan is a wash, and Visnovsky has way more value than Kunitz, so I think you got a great deal!
I had been throwing out some trade offers for the past couple weeks, and someone finally bit. When that happens, I immediately get a little worried that I missed something, that I'm accidentally giving up too much, or getting a bum in return. Please reassure me, guys, that this trade is good for me.
Giving up: Eberle & Kunitz
Getting: Bobby Ryan & Visnovsky
It's a Yahoo H2H league, 12 teams with standard categories PLUS faceoff wins. My team pre-trade looks like this:
C: E Staal, M Koivu
LW: J Benn, B Dubinsky
RW: C Giroux, I Kovalchuk
D: Wisniewski, Subban, Carlson, (empty)
Util: Crosby, Eberle, Semin
bench: C Kunitz, A Vermette, Z Rinaldo
I think at worst Eberle for Ryan is a wash, and Visnovsky has way more value than Kunitz, so I think you got a great deal!
mixed bag. ryan is a bigger gamble than eberle. eberle has really grown into that 70 point player this year and has been at that pace most of the year. ryan has been close to that range but has been terrible this year, so has visnovsky.
I think you won, but you took on more risk. you do not win leagues playing it save.

You have it all backwards.
How has Eberle "really grown into that 70 point player"? We're only 25 games into the season and he has never even come close to 70 in his short career.
Ryan on the other hand has ALREADY hit 70... and that's without any PP1 time!
Secondly, in Yahoo standard cats, Ryan OWNS Eberle. He plays LW which is a much shallower position, and more importantly, Ryan is a huge multicat stud in that format... Eberle is more of a points-only guy. Ryan's point ceiling will also increase now that Boudreau is playing him on PP1 in the 4 forward set-up (this may not stick once Visno returns).
The greater risk is with Eberle, NOT Ryan. This is a classic buy low on Ryan. The original poster did very well on this deal.

grammar Nazi
Noun
(slang, idiomatic) 1. A person who habitually corrects or criticizes the language usage of others, especially in situations where it is unnecessary, e.g. an informal conversation.
Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.
Without a doubt go with blayzes advice here. No need to add something here. Great deal.
