Angus posted my lasted "Dean's List" article today on the front page featuring some notable 2012 draft eligible players that should make some noise in the tournament.
WJC - It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Also, I released an article over at www.thehockeyguys.net where I speak about who I feel will be the top players on each respective country and predict the top point producers of each nation.

4 Assists for him today.
Rieder in the 4th round was a steal for the oilers, he has all the tools you need, just not the frame (yet)
A shame this strong German team had to play division 1 this year

Vancouver Canucks with Niklas Jensen (DEN)
Washington Capitals with Yevgeni Kuznetsov (RUS)
Only NHL team not represented at #2012WJC is the Philadelphia Flyers (not surprising considering prospect depth). Couturier could be there.
So unless I'm missing something the NHL Network's schedule for the WJC this year is awful awful awful. I get to watch Denmark 4 times but there's not a single televised Sweden game? That's the team I wanted to watch the most tbh, I have some of their prospects and there's a few more I have my eye on for the draft this summer. Just stupid programming by the NHL seriously who cares about Denmark? Sorry to any Danes on the forum but the hockey team is bottom 2 in the tournament.
By the way Pontus Aberg has dropped out of the tournament due to an injury. Pretty disappointing news as he's a potential top 10-15 pick in the upcoming draft. Jeremy Boyce replaced him.

Love this time of year gents!
I'm hoping for a good run by team Canada this year but more than anything I just want them to play strong and not choke like they did last year, there's no shame in losing when you play hard but to lose like we lost last year was painful.
Watching the TSN pregame right now and it is predictably annoying so far, all these weird over-hyped nationalistic profile pieces on the team and the players. Come on guys really? You don't need to do that shit in Canada this time of year, anyone who's a hockey fan is watching these games, even if they're tuning in from work!
Also its sort of baffling how the talking heads on TSN are rallying around this theme of this being a lunchpail type of team with depth but not a lot of talent. Sure we might not have an obvious Tavares but with guys like Schwartz, Huberdeau, Strome, Scheifele, Connolly, etc I would hardly call this a team lacking in talent. These kinda tourneys bring out the best in these young players too. I swear they pay that fat oaf McKenzie by the word the way he rattles on half the time -lol

Canada looks incredibly complete. Love the speed of this team.

Let's go Canada. Watching this game at the ACC. Sweet.
