agreed. he did look ok defensively though, and his skating looked good (which was what they said was the difference between him being a third liner or Top 6 forward). But this isn't the time to be testing and evaluating prospects unless you think they will help.
I can see them keeping him in for Game 7. The difference between him and the others (Butler, Stone) is small, and neither player will get a lot of ice time. Maybe they think he improves after his first experience of NHL, two days of rest, and adjusting to the time difference. Last night he was playing the game at like midnight.
I don't think they bring him over to Ottawa if they didn't want to use him for the long haul.
