No, I don't currently play in it, but my friends do. It's actually a great league that's been ongoing since 1986 and they never adjusted the rules. Back then, the feeling was: goalies are crucial to a team's success so they based their scoring on that premise and have ever since. A penalty shot save is worth 2 points. And, yes, it's a Keep 6 league (max 1 goalie) so in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the draft, goalies are what goes. Crosby's rookie year, he was the LAST pick in the 2nd round. If Malkin were available for draft in that league, he'd go in the mid-to-late 3rd round - which bring us back to the main point: Format is indeed everything.Originally Posted by mister_mcgoo

I see your point fungchen. I guess in that format sure, Karlsson looks like a grand option.
I just don't know how I'd pass up Malkin....the guy is something else. I guess I felt it was easier to replace Karlsson's potential statline with another young and up and coming D than it was to replace Malkin's potential statline...
But of course, it all comes down to format, as you say.
