Ryan Miller is out with a concussion thanks to Milan Lucic. Jhonas Enroth, who is 5-0, is owned in only 39% of Yahoo leagues as of a few minutes ago. I'd expect that number to climb very fast.

I just picked him up in one of my leagues yesterday where I own Miller...as if his season couldn't get any worse.

But yeah his % owned is gonna skyrocket. Trying to decide who to drop in my one-year to pick him up.

Anyone know how long Miller is out for? I own him in two of my three leagues...luckily I have Enroth as a handcuff in both but this is not good for Miller owners...

It's SO hard to tell when one gets their egg scrambled. Look at Crosby.

I am hoping the time is short and he comes back fired up!

After watching the Lucic hit and the Sabres reaction, all I have to say is the Sabres are a collective team of pussies.

They should have went after Lucic and also taken liberties on Thomas once the game was out of hand. Even Lucic said after the game that the Bruins would never have let that slide if someone did that to them.

Yeah, talk about adding insult to injury. Literally.

I traded Miller, Enroth and Carlson for Bryzgalov and Yandle four days ago. The trade's looking even better now than it was then!

That wasnt that hard of a hit and he got a concussion? If this is a week to week thing, this league has some serious problems. Players shouldnt get concussed that easily.

Yes they should when they are goalies. Goalies aren't meant to be hit, especially by a 250 lb ******* like Lucic

Mike McKenna was talking about this and said goalies don't have much padding at all inside their masks. Not to protect them from a hit.

As noted in all the debates over the past few months helmets are designed to prevent skull fractures but anyways. I'd be shocked if Lucic was 250 lbs. His upper body isnt that big. More like 225.

My point is that if players get concussed that easily, there is no way to protect them. And someone should warn Miller, if you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Goalie helmets are not designed to take body checking impact hits, Dukla. In addition, I do not think Ryan Miller was bracing for the hit which plays a huge role.

As someone who has been to a concussion spe******t, I know for a fact it doesn't take much to get one.

A 5-10 MPH car accident without direct trauma to the head can cause a concussion, let alone getting full on body checked by a 225-250lb monster without the proper head protection and being unprepared for the hit.

I am definitely a Lucic fan, but I don't think he acted responsibly on this one at all. He could've let up a bit, and it seems to me like he intentionally plowed through Miller instead of minimizing the contact, which is what he is supposed to do in that situation. It's just a really bad situation overall. That last thing the NHL needs is another concussion to a star player.

The fact that Miller is a goalie, and therefore a "protected player", and the evidence that Lucic did nothing to minimize the contact probably adds up to Lucic getting a 1-3 game suspension. I hope this can settle the goaltender out of the crease "fair game" debate once and for all.

This is unfortunate that Miller by injured by this hit, but let's not start calling him a ***** or any silly shit like that. Goalies stop pucks, not power forwards racing toward a puck the goalie was playing. Lucic actions were spineless and unsportsmanlike. I definitely liked his style of play, now I question his integrity completely.

He is now in the same class as Trevor Gillies IMO. a sack of shit with no class at all.

I do not think Miller has a concussion. If you look at the hit, he is not hit in the head. It is more the back/shoulder as Miller turns away at the last second. There was a play later in the game where the Sabres D drove a Bruins F into Miller and the net. Again, he did not hit his head. If you notice Miller's play overall has not been up to par (acknowledging the poor play of the D too) I would suspect this is more of an opportunity for him to take a few games off to get his mental game back together and try and come back and shine. I think this is more of an excuse than anything for a few games off.
