I traded my Giroux for Ovie a month ago in the one year league in my sig. At the time people were crying veto, but now I truly regret it and would take that trade back if I could.

Doesn't matter who's in or who's out, Pronger, Jagr, Hartnell, JVR, Simmonds... the man just produces and makes anyone who's on his wing look good.

Would not surprise me at all if he hits 100 THIS YEAR. if the Hart were handed out today, Giroux would have my vote no doubt, and the only person who could legitimately challenge that claim would be Kessel. Flyers are the highest scoring team in the league, and they've only got one legit superstar, which says a lot about his domination.
I'm not so sure about 100+ this year for Giroux, but he is currently on pace for 103 points... I would definitely expect 90+ at this point, though. Seems like a pretty reasonable expectation going forward. You are right, when you watch this kid play you just see the talent and vision oozing out of him. Legit superstar status at this point for Claude Giroux.

I think you are just misinterpreting what I am saying. I am saying in general throughout his whole career I would expect 90 points from him. I agree, and I have watched many a Philly game, that he is their best player by far. I just don't expect him to be putting up 100 points every season (yes, I think he could get there this year) whereas I think Malkin will consistently hit 100. That was just the difference I was highlighting. I think both of them would be amazing players to have. I actually have both of them in my other league(non money, just for kicks)

Oh boy, I get more excited as each game passes by. How good does Malkin look right now? I hope this didn't jinx him because last time I praised Giroux.....well, you know the rest.

Dude's been looking incredible lately no doubt.

I'd still be concerned about his knee... he almost missed a game earlier this week but I think with Crosby and Staal both out that he was forced to "man" up... and I use that term very loosely when it comes to Malkin

The game he almost missed earlier this week was most likely due to a sickness he was suffering from. I'm not sure exactly where I saw the comment, but Malkin said that he just got a "maintenance" type day because he was sick, after missing that morning skate.

He has been scoring goals off the rush lately, which tells me that his knee is feeling just fine. He's not typically a "rush" scorer, as most of his chances come from working down low in the offensive zone. When he can be more productive off the rush, I want to think that his skating ability is just fine right now.

Hopefully his knee is rounding into form after the offseason surgery.

    Default Wow!

    Just saying:
    2010-11: 43GP 15G 22A 37P
    2011-12: 26GP 15G 21A 36P

I have Geno in two leagues, and he is carrying both teams right now.
Something tells me I could easily beat those trained professionals. - Bender
