Here\'s a link to article in St. Petersburg Times.

No mention of stud goalie prospect Riku Helenius. I guess they figure he\'s still a way off.

It\'s one thing to say they\'re going to do it, but that team has some cap problems.

I\'m curious which \"stud\" goalie would be available? Brodeur, Luongo, Lundqvist, Kiprusoff, Nabokov??

Maybe Huet, but is he a stud or just part of a decent system in Montreal?

I guess Emery qualifies as a stud, if you allow goalies to label themselves:lol:

I could certainly be forgetting some top goalies available, but I don\'t believe there are too many ready to change teams this summer.

Edit: Forgot, Khabibulin might be available for the right price:lol:

There were talks about Turco for St.Louis.
Turco may be an option if its the offseason.
    Smith has been playing well.

Conspiracy Theory Alert: Luongo requests a trade to one of the two Florida-based teams at the end of the season to be closer to his fiance/wife/girlfriend and their newborn child.

Tampa takes advantage of this news and makes a move for Luongo.

I have no proof of this, just a stab in the dark.

Narduch, quick, fire this one off to Ecklund and it may get mentioned Sunday on the Ottawa Sun ...

on a more serious, but sad note, what about Koshechkin? they still have his rights, but can only bring him over for next year without having to have him pass reentry waivers.

It\'s sad because I actually traded for Kosh in my keeper

Luongo being traded is not even something to joke about.

Its like starting rumors that Iginla has decided to retire.

Hasn\'t this been going on for 2 years now? How moronic are the people managing the Lightning that they haven\'t understood yet it doesn\'t matter how good you are in front if your goalies aren\'t getting the job done?

Watching this team makes my teeth ache. Does anyone realize what\'ll happen to this team if Lecavalier, hockey god forbid, ever gets hurt, or St-Louis?

I loathe the Leafs, but damn are the Lightning one hell of a Mickey Mouse organization. Tortorella and Feaster are both such bad, bad, bad hockey people. It seems endemic to the organization too (cf. Dan Boyle wrist situation).

We should try to offer Halak for Vinny. Hey, that could work! They\'re paying 7 mil for Brad Richards: they\'ve no idea what things are worth.

Whew! Well, that felt good! Sorry to all the Lightning fans out there, I can\'t even imagine how hard it must be for you guys.

This would be absolutely amazing. Karma for a week for you if this actually happens. Heck a month even! Hah.
