New Writers added
There are four new columns forthcoming on DobberHockey.
First off is "Lining Up" by Chris Wassel, who takes a look at the line combinations from around the league thanks to the Frozen Pool tool. Wassel runs the podcast "The Program" and he writes for the Hockey Writers and the Daily Faceoff. This is Mondays.
Secondly, Jason Arbuthnot comes in every Tuesday for Frozen Pool Forensics - this goes deeper into the Frozen Pool and looks at all the other stats trends from around the league. As you know Frozen Pool's line combinations only make up about 1% of its awesomeness. Arbuthnot tackles the other 99% here!
And finally - "Ridin'" Ryan Goddard brings his Capped piece from the PG Advised section to the big time. Every Thursday he takes a look at fantasy hockey from a salary cap standpoint.
There is a fourth new feature on the way in about three or four weeks. I have Peter Harling penciled in for it and I am just working with him a little while longer on his writing technique.
Peter and Ryan join Tim Lucarelli, Steve Laidlaw, Gates Imbeau and Brendan Ross as graduates of the Black Aces. This program has been rolling for about 11 months now and DobberHockey has six new writers because of it. Keep at it. Keep the ideas rolling and the opinions strong. Practice makes perfect - the writing will come. You could be next! The Black Aces can be found in PG Advised.
The aim is to have two features each day of the week and this will accomplish that, other than Sundays.

Many congratulations to the new writers. You do deserve it.
One thought tho... I'm hoping that DobberHockey does not grow too quickly. I enjoy reading the articles as I know the writers will be good. Adding so many "rookie" writers is good for DobberHockey morale, but potentially not good for keeping the quality and legitimacy bar exceptionally high.
What I say is not directed any individuals. Just a comment on the service this website provides and what keeps me coming back.
The bar has to always be set high here at Dobberhockey. I was honestly humbled when I got the news because really you think back to all the hockey leagues you were ever in at that point. I still remember doing the leagues by newspaper. Scary thought.
